Raising a Pig
I’m not sure that i would ever want to take the time to start raising a pig. Raising a pig can be time consuming. You’ll have to build a pig-pen or place to house the pig and you will have to make sure there is a good fence in order to make sure your pig won’t get out. You will also need to make sure the pen or shelter is in the shade and that there is someplace for the pig to cool down like a kiddie pool. You will have to acquaint yourself with the type of pig it is and what primary health concerns you might expect to be dealing with in the future. Lastly, you’ll need to figure out the best food to feed your pig. If you’re raising a pig to butcher, you will also need to make sure you don’t get too attached to it.
