Airsoft guns started decades ago in Japan where people are not allowed to own an actual firearm. Airsoft guns simulated the use of a real gun, without the illegalities and harm that could come from real weapons. Airsoft guns are toys, to be able to distinguish them from real guns, they are sold with bright orange tips. The orange tip is quite helpful to prevent any unfortunate incidents that can occur when someone assumes the airsoft gun is real. An Airsoft Spring Revolver mimics the look of an actual revolver but is meant to shoot plastic and rubber BB pellets that are 6mm in size.
