My husband was offered such a great deal on one of the uniworld river cruises, there was no way we could stay no. We are going to be spending two weeks in Europe for what it would cost us to go to a large amusement park for a week. I hope our children will be able to appreciate everything Europe has to offer. We will be seeing things that we may never get to see again. It is not everyday where you can see a real castle, ruins from thousands of years ago, or canals in the middle of a city.

When our cousins from America arrive for their first visit this summer, we have a special treat planned for them. We are going to take them and our caravan up into some of the beautiful parts of the Highlands. My husband will go online and look up “caravan parks perthshire” to find appropriate camping spots. From there we can take them to visit castles and other historic places. I think they will be thrilled by this exposure to the land of their ancestors. I know that I am looking forward to spending time with them, really getting to know them for the first time. We shall have a wonderful time together.

I think it’s going to be a brilliant present that they can really enjoy. Plus it’s very affordable and split between the three of us is even cheaper. We haven’t sent them away before so hopefully they’ll enjoy the gift.

I’ve always liked the sound of the Canary Islands – the land of eternal spring as some people call the region. Its great weather all year round is definitely a temptation, but there’s no doubt there are plenty of other draws.
