I Love You Aunt Ida
Aunt Ida had given me the electric guitar practice tips book just by chance. It was only a few weeks later that she remembered me crying at my fifth birthday party because I didn’t get the guitar I had wished for. My parents couldn’t afford to buy me one and never thought to buy me a used guitar for cheaper. One day, when Aunt Ida was looking at her checkbook while paying bills, she realized that she could finally give me the gift that I had wanted. She had the money to make a little girl’s dream come true, even if it was 30 years later. It was the first present Aunt Ida had bought in over 20 years.
