What are the effects of a herniated disc c5-6?
A herniated disc c5-6 is an upper spinal injury that can have some uncomfortable and even painful effects. Since the c5 and c6 discs are in the cervical spine, which is the upper part of the back, the effects of a herniated disc in this area are generally confined to the upper part of the back and to the neck. Typical effects will include such things as neck pain, pain in the triceps area of the arm, numbness in the arms or neck, or a tingling sensation in the neck area. It is also common to experience a pain which begins in the neck and then expands into the arms, a radiating type of pain called radiculopathy.
